About Me:
Inspired by the likes of Steve Jackson and Tuff Jam on Kiss 100, Some_Mate Started DJing in 1996 with a pair of very basic CD machines. After a few years he won a DJ competition at a local youth service and was asked to help out teaching his skills. Through contacts in his local college at the time he went on to DJ a few nights at an under 18s event at a local club, and played again at the same venue for a few college parties. As the years rolled by he was regularly playing at a local pub, keeping the crowds happy well into the night. Ten years on, in 2009 something clicked, it was time to broaden his horizons and try for bigger and better things! Feeling strong with this new found confidence, he saved hard and invested in some pro-end gear, then submitted a mix to a well known internet radio station HouseFreaks. With near instant success, he started a regular slot on a Friday. There is plenty more to come from this inspiring tech savey individual, with a healthy appetite for some big things!
